Blessed Be Your Name: Venice (Italy)

I've finally gotten down to begin the next entry of my easter vacation.. if i went chronologically, it would be Amsterdam next. Unfortunately, i don't really like it well enough to do up the pics for it yet. Thus, i decided to move on to my next favourite place - Italy :D We visited 6 places in Italy - Venice, Milan, Pisa, Florence, Rome, Vatican City.

Here's the entry on Venice.

I personally don't like Venice that much. Having always wanted to go to Venice after hearing stories about it being a water city and romantic city blah blah, i was immensely disappointed with the place and i must say it is definitely over-rated. The water wasn't as pretty as i had imagined, it stank a little to be honest. The squares were just crawling with tourists and pigeons, very much a tourist trap if you ask me. When i say tourists and pigeons, i really mean that the place was just swarming with them in every direction.

the rooms were definitely fit for living :)

just an idea about the cost of it, we took the water bus which was cramped full of people only for 2 stops and that cost us 6 euros each.

3) only if you have about 80 euros to throw away. If you want, you can sip from a glass of wine, have a violinist to play for you or a lady to sing for you.

oh just a point of information, there are no roads at all here.. only form of transport is to walk via many bridges or use river transport.
